Marriage, Family & Parenting

A working framework for spouses, parents, and children. Curated Q&A, fiqh references, books, and a path to coaching when needed.

Strengthening a relationship takes structured effort. The framework below is the spine of how Coach Zubair coaches families: invest in distinct time categories every week, name what each spouse needs, build the habit of evaluation.

If you are in early conflict, start with the Time framework. If you are deep in fiqh questions about marriage or divorce, jump to Fiqh playlists. For overall wellbeing alongside this, see Personal Growth.

Time frameworkSix categories of investment+

Strong relationships come from deliberate time across six distinct categories. Not one big thing — the small recurring ones.

Allah time

Salah, dua, Quran. The other five hold together when this one is steady.

Me time

Hobbies, exercise, things that decompress you. People feel guilty about this; it is the fuel for the rest.

Us time

Husband & wife alone. Fun, growth, conversation that is not about logistics.

Family time

Spouse + kids + extended family. Built around presence, not just being in the same room.

Discussion time

Dedicated time for hard topics so they don't leak into every conversation. Listen fully, then respond.

Follow-up time

Weekly evaluation. Use the weekly template and review together.
